My name is Jay Davis, and I've spent years building fences across Prairieville, Baton Rouge, and Ascension Parish. I'm a married father of four boys, and like most families in this area, I know what it means to take pride in your home and property.

I started Legend Fence because I believe the homeowners and businesses in this community deserve something simple: a contractor who shows up, does the work right, and stands behind it. Legend Fence is my company — built from the ground up with the values I've always held: quality materials, honest communication, and craftsmanship you can actually see from the street.

I personally visit every job site, oversee every installation, and make sure the finished product meets my standard before I consider a project complete. That's not something you get from a large company with rotating crews and a call center. It's what you get when the owner's name is on the sign.

Why Materials Matter in Louisiana:

South Louisiana doesn't forgive shortcuts. The heat, the humidity, the storm seasons — they will expose a fence that was built with the wrong materials or rushed installation within a year or two. That's why I'm particular about what goes into every fence we build.

For wood fences, my material of choice is cedar. The majority of our wood installations are cedar because it's naturally resistant to rot, insects, and moisture — making it one of the best-performing options in Louisiana's climate. We source our lumber locally from Picou Builders in Gonzales, a supplier I trust for consistent quality. Keeping it local matters to me. It supports the community we work in and means I know exactly what's going into the ground on your property.

For aluminum fences, we install Antebellum Manufacturing aluminum — American-made fencing fabricated in Ocala, Florida using U.S. extrusions. Antebellum is a family-owned manufacturer whose products have been installed at facilities like SpaceX, universities, and major commercial sites across the country. When I chose a product line for Legend Fence, I wanted something I could stand behind completely — domestically made, built to a high standard, and backed by a manufacturer that takes quality as seriously as I do.

For vinyl fences, we install fencing manufactured by Country Estates, known for weather resistance and long-term color retention that holds up in South Louisiana's sun and humidity.
